Hanky — Brand identity for sustainable tissue products
Client: Lee & Man Paper CompanyScope: Logo design, visual identity, and brand guidelines
Lee & Man Paper Company, one of the largest suppliers of tissue and paper products in Hong Kong and China, launched a sustainability initiative to manufacture all their paper from bamboo. As part of this, the company decided to introduce a new tissue brand, named ‘Hanky’, which required a new logo and visual identity to reflect its eco-friendly ethos and the fact that the product is made entirely from bamboo.
The brand identity was designed to feel clean, modern, and approachable, and to appeal particularly to young families. I created a bold, memorable logo mark that combined the letter ‘H’ for Hanky with a bamboo motif, symbolising the product’s sustainability and core material.
A comprehensive style guide was also produced, providing clear guidance on colour, typography, and imagery, ensuring the brand could be applied consistently across packaging, marketing materials, and digital platforms.
